  • Umm these comments are wrong... Im an intermediate dancer and the step isnt that advanced Its super easy! A person that pretty much just started dancing could do that! It doesnt cause injury if you go into it gradually.

  • What he is trying to say is that you shouldn't attempt this IF your ankles aren't strong enough. you could roll them out and seriously hurt yourself. And normally people under 12 haven't fully stregthen their feet or ankles. It may not be for EVERY 12 year olds, but it's just a precutions! Beginners shouldn't attempted without a expert.

  • toe stands are actually very hard to do

they aren't even part of my school's steps until you learn the open championship dances

i rolled my ankle just doing jumps (what i learned from that is to not dance on carpet in your socks), for this kind of thing it is very possible to break your ankle

  • @Clar1cey no it is not. a begginger does not have enough ankle strength to do this properly. in atep dance you usually jump quickly up to your toes. I have been dancing Irish step dance for 11 years

  • is he crazy it is no way a toe stand

  • @Angie2343 you can turn those off

  • tHE SUBTITLES GET IN THE WAY OF THE VIDEO!

  • @CeeDOT1 . Actually , this is more of a beginner move , and he isn't doing it properly, the flat part at the end of your hardshoe shouldn't touch the ground. The leather at the top of your shoe, right where it attaches to the bottom is where you should be. And yes, you should not be doing this if your under the age of 12. I learned this move when i was still in novice, and have used it all the way up to open.

  • im 11 and i can do that

  • Just hold on to a wall or two chairs when first learning it. Then, as your balance increases, you can do it on your own. Everyone can calm down!

The 12 year old thing is just because the rules are that no one under twelve can compete with toe stands in their dances, for safety issues. Although some may be able to do them perfectly, their muscles arent quite developed enough to do them.

    :)
