Satan is an enemy defeated but not yet destroyed. We think that we are pretty smart, but Satan has been around longer, seen more and seen smarter people than you, and if you puff yourself up with pride that is the path to your destruction. Pastor Mark Driscoll teaches about Satan's craftiness in this sermon clip taken from Doctrine - What Christians Should Believe. For the entire sermon, visit http://is.gd/9Sy.
@3VOLution3NO So how would you interpret Geneis 3:14? So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

The connection between the New Age spiritual belief in evolution; 2012 Ascension into 5D and the age-old lie told to Eve in the Garden could not be more evident.
Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then YOUR EYES SHALL BE OPENED[Enlightened], and YE SHALL BE AS GODS[evolution/reincarnation], knowing good and evil.
Lucifer, the "light-bearer", the 'serpent' [Shining One] beguiled Eve to partake of GNOSIS; spiritual knowledge; the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

@vozuluzov
It is symbolic. the serpent means SHINING ONE. Satan appears as an angel of light. these fallen entities appear to us as point of light, ie UFOs.

If Satan is so much smarter than you are then how do you know your theology is correct? Maybe Satan gave you the kind of belief in Jesus that you have so that when you go before Jesus, he will reject you. Maybe what you call "religion" where you need works along with your faith in Jesis is correct and Satan is decieving you into believing that faith in Jesus is sufficient (see James 2:24).
That's the basic problem with a belief in the supernatural. You can't be sure of anything.

@k12rising Nope, not even those. Snakes don't have lips, which are necessary for properly enunciating words. The tongue and teeth of snakes are also inadequately formed for creating vowels and consonants. More importantly, snakes do not possess a larynx (vocal chords), which is an organ that only exists in mammals. Lastly, snakes lack a cerebral cortex: the part of the brain that coordinates the lips, tongue, teeth, and vocal chords to produce speech. So you're SOL on all counts. Sorry.
