  • Hey Flora! This looks really awsome...

I know it's kind of alot to ask but I was wondering if you'd be able to send me the recipe?

I'm living at my grandma's on a farm for the year and for some reason this video isn't loading all the way. It'll go about halfway and then stop...

I know it's alot to ask, but if it wouldn't be TOO much trouible it would be great. :)

  • Ohhh! I might be getting overly excited, but as a vegan its so awesome you offered an alternative for us! I'm easily touched I suppose, hah.

Your videos are always awesome :D

Now I can put those blackberries I picked from our local forest to some good yummy use!

    Yay!!

  • OMG, I used ur recipe for corn bread and made the blackberry jam as a pie filling for a berry pie. And that egg recipe actually works. I have an egg and chicken allergy so I was so happy to be able to eat the corn bread! Thank you!

  • I added cold jam to the muffin mix and it didn't sink. They looked just like the ones in this video but that's ok because I think they are so much prettier looking this way. Thanks for the recipe they were very good. My kids loved them!

  • Hi Flora! I was wondering what consistancy the cornmeal mix should be at. You had to thin yours out a bit, and I can't really what the consistancy is from the video. Should it be something like the consistancy of cake mix (that's what it kind of looks like to me), or should the consistancy be thicker or thinner that that?

  • I always love your bloopers! Very hilarious! This coming Lughnasadh, I will make this. Hopefully for the OWL meetups. Lots of Vegans in our meeting. This whole ingrendiant your presented is totally Vegan?

  • @CharmingPixieFlora hey, i missed the degrees in the vid, so im thankful you posted this, lol. btw, i thought it was 20 to 25 mintues...

  • Hi Flora! I l love your videos and have them "all" saved to my favorites.

I just wanted to add an alternative to eggs also if you are Vegan. You can also substitute the egg with 1/4 c. vegan yogurt. This works for most any baked goods, although I have also used it for faux meat balls. For this recipe I used vanilla Silk yogurt, because the recipe is already sweet so this gives it a nice mellow sweetness as well as a little tang. They are delicious!

  • Hey I am from the UK and had a little trouble translating the measurements, and they don't sell cornmeal, but it's Polenta over here, so I just made them...YUM! Thanks CPF xxxxx Blessed be xxxxxxxxx

  • I baked mine at 400° for 20 minutes with sour cherry preserves. Easy and delicious! Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

  • Awesome recipe! I wrote it down for further use, but you didn't mention where to pre-heat your oven to, just that they're supposed to go in for 20-25 mins.

    Blessings,

    Raven

  • Flora; Do you think that this recipe would work with other types of berries? Maybe raspberries?

    Blessings

  • Yummy recipe, Pix.!!! And, I must buy that book, too! However, please do be careful about including too much soy milk into the diets of men and boys; a study was released last Summer that found that our bodies are mistaking it for estrogen, and making us develop "breasts"! Also, baking powder/ soda ought to be replaced every 6 months, because it tends to go bad after that point. BTW, never heard of guave(sp?) nectar before. And, I am so totally jealous of your long Southern growing season.
