@spannerotoole at my school we use thin clients with 500 computers, and from the thin clients we remote desktop into a server that handles 2000 users. slow as hell.

My company's IT department used to run VAX back up until the mid-1990s. It was thin clients running from a mainframe. Substitute the mainframe with a PC/server and you have the same setup as the one in this video. Check out the video on Windows Multipoint Server 2011. You can have 20 users on one PC without buying the thin client box.

@ hapsycolour, This is not new technology, Thin Clients, possibly running X Server with a virtual machine running on top maybe it's a full blown winxp system running a VNC Server with the other machines logged in a full screened. Somehow I doubt a mac could handle that many users with it's restrictive and degraded Operating System. When you want to hide bugs, you make it look pretty.
