Can't you just use sftp on linux?

@EsserS12 It's OK, we all start somewhere.

To run any executable (shell scipt, bin file, etc) type ./command (so in this case ./hldsupdatetool.bin)

@borglanparty ok well i'm quite n00b to linux, so how exactly do i run hldsupdatetool.bin after its downloaded and i ran chmod on it? i searched on google and couldn't find anything.

@EsserS12 That's OK. chmod doesn't output anything if all went well.

@borglanparty i have the same problem, even when i type in "chmod 777 hldsupdatetool.bin" nothing happens. the next line comes up, do i have to do something like -run after chmod 777?
