This was our last interview with Shane McConkey a week before his untimely death. Shane was the coolest guy we ever got to interview.
Thanks for everything, Shane!

  • @crv and pineapple I have lived and ridden all over the country, from the East to the Rockies to the Sierras. You want to know where it's best? Wherever the snow is!

  • Shanes awesome

  • Long Live Shane

  • probably showing God how to ski naked right now.

  • Wait... Is the guy talking the guy who died

  • Highlands and Crested Butte are similar, Breck sucks.

  • Debating about "Colorado" vs. Tahoe is about as noob as it gets. As if Breck, Crested Butte and Aspen Highlands are the same. Oh, and it's called Sierra Cement, not California Concrete.

  • I an proud to say that I skid of that rock at 0:27 and I've ridden kt22 on my visit to squaw

  • @pineappaloupe sorry bro two more things: LOL at the "heavenly" comment. so true. second, you are correct in the tree patterns. that was one of the reason i ended up buying a sled in order to get off the beaten path.

  • @pineappaloupe agreed. if i implied coverage, that was not what i meant. colorado has nice dry snow, especially at higher elevation. tahoe always gets good coverage. i lived in tahoe for 12 years and we have a local saying called "california concrete." here is my implication: you are building a booter for four plus hours, then you have a limited transition/landing. you can get one stomp in the snow because it packs hard. i have stomped three times in the same spot in colorado's condition.
