The Pretty Things were around 15 years BEFORE the Blues Brothers, if anything the BB's are a copy of the pretties. And are you comparing them to them because of their snazzy suits or the fact that they both play a version of Chicago blues? I have seen both bands live, The Pretty things make me very excited and wild while the Blues Brothers made me sick. And the Pretties still rock more at this time then most blues bands that have come since.
