Twenty four foot wide, six foot high half-pipe with seven foot escelator extension built for Orkus indoor skatepark in montreal. Four of us worked on the ramp and it took a total of four ten hour days. Built and shot in 2002 unfortunately Orkus Skatepark closed 2006. This video was shot on a Sony VX2000 (intervelometer mode) with the Raynox .7 wide angle lens attached. Thanks for watching.

  • can someone tell me what that is they covered it with at 0:16 thanks

  • @bradross64 used 3 layers of 3/8 inch plywood then 1/4 inch masonite. i recommend this. if your building with intent for bikes then i suggest 4 layers of 3/8 plywood. only because bike pegs can easily destroy plywood

  • made one of these too, wish id timelapsed it! this is awesome though! got a vid on my homemade halfpipe & i swear thats a quater pipe btw?

  • @gsacklz technically what you have is a quarter pipe because you only have one transition section. you need two quarter pipes to call it a mini ramp, half pipe or a vert ramp.

  • question-is this not a half pipe?

to clarify- a mini ramp i consider to be under head height 5 feet and under. a half pipe would then be 6 feet and over but does not have verticle sections. a vert ramp has straight up and down verticle in it (this is what tony hawk rides). note: some people can call a vert ramp a half pipe as well.

  • yourBLOODisonme -getgting those bumps smooth starts with a very well built structure. from experience its not easy getting all the curves to match and all the pieces lined up.
