im not Finnish im Irish and we had a lot of wolves here before the english killed the last one in 16 something i think .hence we have the irish wold hound cool dogs .pre christian cultures all round the world had a great deal of respect for the wolf.the stories are prob post christian btw isn't there one about 2 brothers putting on the skins of wolves and being transformed cant remember the name of it off hand .
