August 22, 2008 - Kennedy Space Center After spending four extra days parked inside its hangar while Tropical Storm Fay poured on the Kennedy Space Center, shuttle Atlantis finally moved to the Vehicle Assembly Building on Friday night in preparation for its October launch to the Hubble Space Telescope.

  • i would be sooooooooo freaken afraid to move this thing like this lmao, when i worked for delta, and the guys on the ground that loaded the planes if they would damage a plane, scratch nick, or puncture the outer skin it would cost the airlines thosands to fix, i hate to see the figures when dealing with a shuttle. they are probly off the charts!
