@jedigamerninja i'm sorry, but i just can't get with this generation's music. the only artists on the radio i like are Adele, Bruno Mars, Cee-Lo, Lupe Fiasco, and most adult contemporary artists, and some rap and R&B singers.i used to like Usher, but he's sort of sold out . Lady Gaga doesn't bother me that much, but i still don't like how she tries to get attention, and i don't like Kesha at all. i'll have my guilty pleasures, but i prefer listening to the old school, and avoid current music.

@jedigamerninja the point is, i'm only going to support artists that worked really hard, and earned their way to where they got. will i like a stupid song i shouldn't be liking from an unlikely artist? yeah, it happens. but that doesn't mean i'm gonna support him/her. and i'm not gonna be listening to the same electro pop stuff over and over. and btw, is hard to really avoid music i don't like where i have to hear it everywhere i go, and on tv and radio. is not as easy as you think it is.

@jedigamerninja and do you even to listen to lyrics, they're mostly about sex and how much swagger they have, and all that junk, i'm not supporting that. i'm all for fun, but not like that. songs about sex are only good in R & B, and ,and even then, there should be a limit. i want artists that put their hearts out, and make a lasting impression. and unlike the artists of the past, many of these artists now aren't memorable, a lot of the songs right now will eventually be forgotten many years.

@jedigamerninja no if an artist changes his or her style simply for the purpose of making money, and can't maintain an integrity, they're "selling out", and the term is well deserved. and i'm not supporting any artist that doesn't deserve to be to be where they are. some of those artists hve bought their fame, for example, the only reason Jaden and Willow Smith have record deals is because they're Will Smith's kids, the only reason Selena Gomez has a deal is because she's in Disney.

I agree with you completely. I listen to a wide range of music everything from U2 to children of bodom and i thoroughly respect old pop artists who have actual talent. Today's media seems to have completely forgotten descent music, and instead promotes this electronic bullshit simply so they can get a piece of the profit. What is our world coming to?!
