Prism was the first premium channel in my area to feature "Star Wars". What an event that was in 1978!

@JimmyMVideoJukebox - Yeah, PRISM was perfect for me. Great selection of movies plus the Flyers & WWF made Showtime & HBO (back then) seem kind of cheesey by comparison. And it's nice to see someone else who remembers Ultracom!

PRISM indeed was great. Back when the cable system was Ultracom in the early 80s. Dont forget about the full WWF wrestling cards from the Spectrum too back then...which no one else saw on TV.

It was basically like a local version of HBO. But then it was only availible as a premium channel during the 90's.

PRISM was great stuff. You could watch movies, Phillies and Flyers games all on one channel. Don't get me wrong I like Comcast Sports Net but PRISM was just such a big part of my childhood in the 80s that I'll always have a special fondness for that channel.
