Quite right. Now why don't you try making a game all by yourself, without using any engines, complete with physics, AI, 3D models, animations and whatnot that runs at decent speed on both Xbox and PC. Oh, and do it in 6 months without any previous gamedev experience. Then come back and badmouth all you want.
