You are entitled to your own opinion. I have nothing to say about your view. I have lots of fond memories of the place where I grew up but unfortunately the Singapore government policy towards the children of Gurkha has really left a sour taste in my mouth.

I grew up in Singapore from when I was four until I was 11. I miss it to this day.
