  • This is definitely a six gill. I was born and raised in Seattle and do night dives at Cove 2. Most of the sightings are at Cove 2 or the Tacoma Narrows. Six Gills are abundant in the Puget Sound and frequent the shallow waters up to 40 feet and as deep as over 2000 ft. The Seattle Aquarium has been studying them at length for the past decade or so and have cameras set up right under the aquarium and there is a continuous stream of six gills checking it out.

  • this is so cool! I went diving at alki not too long ago but didnt see too much. how deep were you?

  • @KroLazuxy but it is ,,,100% easily identified atleast i thought so

  • you can see them @ seattle... there they come up to 30-20 metres

  • there are 2 know places in the world where they cruise along at a shallow enough depth to dive

  • Well it seemed like a six-gill to me but i m curious to know where was this shark sited. Its a primitive species that usually lives up to thousands of meters in the bottom of the sea.. From the divers heavy breathing it should of been around 40 meters or so but still its not that deep for this species..
