Adrienne Townes is a woman that once you have met, you will never forget. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a theater brat and the daughter of a locally renowned actress, singer and television star, Joan Coursey. She naturally inherited her mother's good looks, stage presence and articulation but her singing voice is totally her own. The Arena Players, the oldest black theater in the United States is where she started singing and acting in plays and musicals. She also grew up performing in the church.
Adrienne continued acting and singing throughout her teen years and into adulthood. In college, she minored in voice. She used her motivating spirit to form a band to showcase her voice and walk away with the title of the first Black Miss Frostburg State University. Since that time she has done numerous national commercials and also been in several movies.

I like her fresh, unique style. She's sexy, savvy and warm at the same time. She's not overtly sexual but sensual and classy. She reminds me of the ol' school divas of song who didn't have to bump and grind to get their message across. It helps of course that she's as the old folks would say "easy on the eyes." She has a place in the music industry if she hooks up with the right label and producers.
