I saw this video, uploaded on July 7, 2009 on November 7, 2011 and it had ONLY FIVE VIEWS!
Alarm management is part and parcel of using control systems safely. With modern SCADA and DCS systems, especially those with object orientation, it is possible to get completely lost in nearly meaningless alarms.
I've seen the results personally. The insanity has got to stop. This video is a good first start.
