Your right, nothing like it, Basil had velcro poncho, NO one he fought did! Yes the league has also outlawed your jersey coming off in a fight even if you don't mean for it to come off. They all now wear straps attaching the back of jersey to the pants.

Watch the vid! yes his poncho jersey is still on him. But Basil's arms completely free, no way his oponent can grab the jersey near the upper arm & shoulder to tie him up,HUGE ADVANTAGE, most fights you a try to tie up the other guys best punching arm. Most hockey fights envolve a lot of strategic grabbing, pulling & punching.
