I caught up with Rene of the black sun empire (drum and bass act from the netherlands) when he was in dunedin for a gig at bath st.
Note the silly cut-aways. It was actually all Rene's idea when he heard that being a student show we were kinda loose.
I figure he was kinda jetlagged and needed a laugh.

In July, I was walking out of a DJ store in Auckland, and a flyer caught my eye, literally, dragging me back in. 'BLACK SUN EMPIRE', Albert Park (IIRC), June 17. Damn! I was still in Germany back in June. The guy said he just put it up because he read 'the seventeenth'. I'm looking forward to another gig they have here.

I have the honour to say i met that guy from BSE in the UK after he played a set in Plymouth, i was chatting to him for like half n hour, hes a legend!!! He is like twice the size of me though lmao... Hes a giant. I remember asking him if he was gonna collab with Ed rush n Optical, and he said: 'Yeh we might do but it will probly be with Ed rush because Optical is quite grumpy in the studio'... It made me Laugh hahahaha. Rene is an amazing DJ btw!!!!!!
