Thaddeus McCotter Teaches Us How to “Speak Democrat” is one of the best videos on youtube or on any website................HILARIOUS.....................
@BarackMugabe Do you have a reference for "particularly blue cities and states"?
If it's a result of being public, then why are the best education systems in the world also public? Clearly it's influenced by a different factor.
I don't think that I'm the one with the problem. Obama has escalated the war in Afghanistan, renewed the patriot act, caved on renewal of the Bush tax cuts, kept Guantanamo bay open... Progressives are more frustrated with him than anyone. Let alone 'Marxists'...
@BarackMugabe I went to public school in America, and it's not quite so bad as you describe, but I'll agree that it's flawed. The flaws do not result from the fact that it's public though. Finland, Denmark, Australia, and New Zealand have the best education systems, and they're overwhelmingly public. It's a societal problem, not one inherent in public education. I don't see why this would affect healthcare provision.
And you think Obama's a marxist? He's basically a centrist...
"Here (in the UK) a private system co-exists alongside the public"
Yeah, we have the same system here for education. A shitty, awful, exhorbitant public system that advances leftist ideology but fails to educate properly, and a private one that actually educates citizens. And the lousy public system is bankrupting states all over the country.
Why should we expect health care to be ANY different?
@BarackMugabe Also, note that I'm not advocating a government-run system of medical research. Nor am I advocating one with no intervention. The best system incorporates elements of both, to minimise the faults of each system and maximise their benefits.
You don't think that the government should subsidise potentially life saving cures that won't make a profit?
"yet a majority in the US want a public option. What does that tell you?"
Tells me you're full of shit.
If the public wanted a public option, they would have gotten one during the left's reign of terror from 2008-10. But alas, it was too radical for some Democrat Senators in red states, and the left couldn't overcome a filibuster. If the people really wanted a public option, those Senators would have gone along eagerly.

If he thinks Thaddeus McCotter can't be funny he clearly hasn't seen him in an interview.

The Double Speak Dictionary by Starr O'Hara is way better and cuts through the left-right paradigm bullshit.

Public schools are REALLY bad in many places, particularly blue cities and states. And getting worse every year.
And yes, it's a result of being public. There's no other reason.
"And you think Obama's a marxist? He's basically a centrist."
I think we've finally identified the crux of your problem.

@CrapOfTheWorld
The 'Marxists' stopped in 1948 when the NHS was created.
In this country, they occupy the highest levels of our government. Including the White House.

If that ddidn't convince you, maybe 11/2/10 did.
