How to download auto-updating Minecraft 1.1 (full version), the latest edition, free.

READ THIS. IT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE VIDEO.

LINK 1: This link is an free auto-updating version of the old Minecraft launcher. Type in any username, check the force update box, login, and play. Link is http://adf.ly/3s5e9 . Click on "Skip ad" in the top right hand corner once it pops up; the download is instant after that.

If you get the message "Could not find the main class: net.minecraft.LauncherFrame. Program will exit." then press OK or exit out and reopen the application.

LINK 2: This is Notch's official Minecraft launcher; it has the latest Minecraft news and updates available. To use it, you will need to have run link 1 at least once and have link 3 installed. Press login, and then press play offline. Link is http://adf.ly/3nC3W . Click on "Skip ad" in the top right hand corner once it pops up; the download is instant after that.

LINK 3: First, you must run link 1. Then, go to this website to get any version of Minecraft you want: http://www.minecraft.great-windmill.com . Go to versions and select the version you want. After it downloads put it in the correct file location (run %appdata%, go to .minecraft, go to bin, drag the file in there, and hit "Copy and replace"). Then, try playing offline again using link 2.
