  • I SAW YOU THERE!!!!

  • Haha i was commanding at that one too, although i forget which company i was commanding. I had just finished getting my boys in a fairly straight line and then barely had time for firing and marching. My unit was one of the first to charge actually...

  • Yeah, sorry about that. I started the battle. I couldn't wait anymore.

  • This year, the "battle" just became a free-for-all with no one telling yank from reb in it all. I was in command of the center division and I had only taught them the manual of arms and firing (I was about to teach them marching, but the battle started before I could). My boys fired 7-10 volleys, then the rebs charged Simon and I just said "Oh, what the hell. Charge!!!!!". In the end I got shot 20 times, then stood up and was "resurrected". Good times. Sorry if I got in the way, Simon.

  • The battle lasts 2 minutes because the scouts, for all their emphusiasm, just want to get into a scrap with the other scouts.

Once the first group go into hand-to-hand fighting it's game over and the only order any of the scouts will hear or respond to is "CHARGE!!!!"

Also, are you suggesting that these battles ever actually have a winner and loser? Personally, I thought that the Union lost last year.

  • I'll remember that for next year. Also we need to make this battle longer than 2 min. We need to do something as the commanders would have done. Also why do we always lose in this battle?

  • And get my bayonet dirty? Not a chance! I decided to send in the cannon fodder.

  • And I thought you would have killed me yourself, Simon. But no, you had you lackeys do that for you.

  • Delighted to point out that the guy who "killed" you was under my command in that battle...

  • Yeah, and the one giving the battalion commands is me, Captain Joseph G. Morrison.
