  • I think it's meant to be ironic. Emo music is associated with suicides, self harming and depression. So what does an emo group do? Sing about how they love themselves and life. it's merely challenging people's preconceptions of emos.

  • @WarlockAshlii

    lol

not really, the title's a parody of the nirvana song 'i hate myself and i want to die'

  • @WarlockAshlii also Nirvana did a song called I Hate Myself And Want To Die

  • @Banderbear200 It stands for emotive hardcore. Which was emotional hardcore punk, there's actually some happy songs which are emo like Jodie by Saves the Day, a lot of the Get Up Kids stuff. I know it isn't depressing and self harming but that's what people's perceptions of it are. Not saying it's right but it was just a stereotype. I didn't know it was a reference to a Nirvana song at the time as I only had their last two albums.

  • @WarlockAshlii they are a sterotypical "emo" band.. and also "emo" stands for emotional.. not depressing and self harming. reserch stuff before you say it please.

  • I locked myself in a portaloo! (8)

  • @WarlockAshlii Emo is about emotion, not suicide and self harm hence "emo".

  • i love The BlackOut!! :_ that it
