everybody wants his tone, thats the different between him or vai, satriani... nobody needs to sound like them. Andy has a peaceful tone and style.

Mesa makes a great product. Its worth the tag for sure. I have a dual rectifier and a couple marshall jcm 800s from the early 80s and the 3 of those heads can do anything you can imagine. The stiletto he is using had a similar sound as the vintage settings on the dual. Sounds nice. Love Andys playing not many out there like him these days. Its all emo trash. Sad really..

Andy is the only guy on the planet not playing a Strat who's tone is in my opinion uncomparable. All the glassy clean bell like tones of a really good vintage Strat, and monster humbucker tone ala Billy Gibbons on the bridge pickup. He makes me want to seriously look at Mesa Boogie as a more versatile amp then my Fender Super Reverb. What tone...
