Opens NAT and makes your connection more reliable. No more DNS errors, disconnects or sign outs.
Your ISPs DNS servers are usually overcrowded so it's best to change it up and use something else. ;)
Use Namebench to find the fastest DNS. http://code.google.com/p/namebench/
Yes, I know step3 is over kill but it's better for you to know your options. :)
Just make sure UPnP is enabled while you're in your router settings if you don't want to port forward or do anything else in step3. :P If you can't find UPnP settings then you need a better router :|
YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO ONE: IP FORWARD, ENABLE UPnP, or DMZ.
tl;dr: set static ip for ps3, put static ip of ps3 in dmz on router

@byPaa Hey, this happened to me, but I know the solution. First make sure there aren't any computers connected to your internet and it should work. I don't know why this stops MW2 from working but now my problem is fixed. :P

everytime i go to play mw2 i get to the loading screen , it freezez for 2 seconds and backs me out to the XMB menu .. i can get into mw2 when im not signed in .. PLEASE HELP ME

I'ts easier if you use your isp DNS, it should be more responsive than open DNS
