What would it do and how could it work?

The Large Hadron Collider is the largest and most complex scientific instrument ever built and the highest energy particle accelerator in the world. The accelerator is located 100 m underground and runs through both French and Swiss territory. ( 27km circumference)

Year 2008 marks the culmination of 20 years of work by over 8000 scientists thousands of engineers, technicians and support staff from over 80 different countries.
some critics say that this could create a black hole and could be the end of the world..
the first attempt starts on the 10th september 2008..!(just a test run, the main collision with full power will happen in end of october)

  • Probably the worst thing that could happen, is they created a big bang and a small universe. And in that, give some couple billion years and some crazy scientist will want to see how the big bang works and blow him self and everyone up starting the cycle again. Cool.

  • 57,000 times a second would be faster than the speed of light, and nothing can go that fast.

  • this video was very cool

    and

    i learned very mutch

  • but it does

  • Firstly, I appreciate you're deep, well thought out retort to my above statement. It made you sound as mature and educated as a 12 year old kid on his dad's old laptop.

Now, in my Hubble (space humor) opinion, 5 sentences (that's right, NOT paragraphs) hardly constitutes an essay. And, believe it or not, I only spent about a minute typing it up. You should realize that just because it takes u a long time to read something doesn't mean it took a long time to write :/

I feel bad for you, kinda

  • congratulations,Standdard0013.....you won the world's biggest douche bag award on the "intranet"

You wrote me a 5 paragraph essay.........really shows how much of a life u have,u know what? i wish it does create blackholes so it could suck ur gay ass life in,that would do us all a big favor___Bahzad OUT

  • Congradulations, Bahzad...you won an argument on der intranet :/ (yes, I know I misspelled internet).

But I dont see whats wrong with being excited about things like the LHC, because it is rather interesting and will ultimately push us towards the next step of our society's evolution.

And you should read up a little bit. If you do, you'll see that due to the Hawthorn Effect any blackhole which the LHC might produce wouldn't be any threat to society on any scale whatsoever.

    there, I win :p

  • "haha" u spent alot of time thinking about that.......u had nothin else to say. i win

  • than we will understand the origin of our universe and we will also find out why somethings have mass and others don't by hopefully finding the "God" Particle the only particle we have never seen.

  • haha you wasted a lot of time typing all that

  • actually i dont see any irony from callin u a retard, i personally think u are a retard, and u kno what else u r? u are a lifeless gay loser who has no knowledge of anything,if this does work then yes it MIGHT create blackholes and suck u in,so no asshole read ur gay ass comment again and think about why 5 people voted that a negetive comment. ___Bahzad out

  • Bahzad, read your comment again and please tell me you see the irony in calling me a "retard." You sound like a true scholar.

Learn a little more about it.
