See http://amasci.com/spheres/ The magnetic field is zero around a blob of small neodymium magnets ...unless you align them first! Color CRTs get distorted! Make some rotating compasses from rings of magnet beads. (Sell them at weekend flea markets!) These are large spheres: 8mm and nickel plated. For various suppliers links, see bottom of http://amasci.com/spheres/ These big ones are around $0.35 each if bought in qty. from Mr. George, http://www.supermagnetman.net/index.php?cPath=43, go down to SP1000 balls.

  • Sure. These are powerful magnets, but not technically 'supermagnets' For that, you need very low temperatures in which electrical resistance is zero or negligible. Cheers.

  • Yes, but how do they work?

  • That's a much better video than the anti-gravity one

  • leedskalnin kind of explain it a while ago lol

  • how does the magnetif field of one of those sphepere look? could you use you baby oil magnetic field "viewer" with this?

  • @lillen300 its 2 magnets when you throw them up in the air, they will hit each other loads of times and make a buzzing sound.
