Hungry Bear at Yosemite National Park campground

I've been around bears many times in Yosemite and they've been around my camp day and night. They're harmless, cute creatures, and don't bother people. However, DO keep food and toiletries locked for the protection of the bear, not to make it habituated to humans and end up being shot for car break-ins. Humans are the cause of most bear deaths, it's humans who plague them.Don't listen to nutjobs who label them as "dangerous" it's us who are dangerous to them.

Ur retarded in the beginning u just sat there ur supposed to chase the bear out

@xanyxxxx I would shoot the damn thing to save my life or someone else's. Are you putting animals as higher priority than humans? People that do that ARE nutjobs. Though I agree that we shouldn't disturb them and be responsible about hiding the food. But if that were my son or daughter at that campsite, that bear's going down.

its your tent a REI Camp dome 6?

they are just high and trying to find some cheetos

@xanyxxxx How does that make them an idiot? Just because you know something someone doesn't classify them as one.

You see the big brown boxes right there next to your backpack full of food? THAT is where your food should be at all times. If a Ranger would have seen this you would have gotten a nice fine for ignorance. This behavior is what ruins Bears...

OH SNAP
Okay, folks. We were not newbie campers. We put all the food in the food locker (for obvious safety reasons), but one person in our group forgot about an energy bar left in his bag. I hope it clears a lot!
