HIBERNATION is inspired by the long and cold winters of Montags present life in Montréal and early childhood in Nunavik, Quebec. Only a few weeks after his return in his hometown, just as the temperature dropped below zero, Montag bundled up and stayed in with his synths and souvenirs, putting together a series of wintry compositions in a two-week recording session. Returning to Montreal also inspired a stylistic return to his earlier work and on HIBERNATION, Montag offers a soundtrack for chilly winter nights, a sonic blanket of warm strings and old synths assembled in nostalgic and crystalline melodies.

HIBERNATION's user manual is simple: find a warm place, blankets and something hot to drink, put some headphones on, press play and stay there all day.
