@olllj I thought these two clips showed the most important parts of the conference without have to watch the full 1 hour is all. NASA's is of course more in depth, and in full hd and not a burn from their site so it looks much better. If you have the time you would probably enjoy the information provided in the full hour.

@alialimali She is Felisa Wolfe-Simon, the one who had the idea to do this study. So she is the one who discovered this amazing find! This pretty much means life can exist anywhere and build itself in the same pattern as Earth life with several different elements. That is just Earth like life, as well...point is, it could be a big universe full o' life!

This finding prove that life as we know it, is all about maintaining a set of mutual information/memory, and the administration must allow addition but not at all reduction to the set. If the set was significantly reduced, the identity of the organism would change. So if you could create such administration using gold and silicons, then its life. Transformer ftw.

Now if they came back with a life form that can compete on a Human level and not be Human..that would be a major find..this is garbage.They needed to come up with something and make a big deal out of it to keep their multi million dollar funding coming in from Government.They do it with space,planets etc..they make very Good wages to tell us things that are old B/S and no help to anyone..People need to smarten up some and see what this is.Hype for funding a program that is a waste of tax money.

this is so comical..they are leading up to something,most likely trying to explain away God...For the simple reason they did not understand the question of why this ? why does what they found now make it any defferent than the hundreds of thousands of life forms they find each year that already exist and we are just finding..it's not new,but new to us is all.This is a waste of time and a joke..just about anyone can go explore where people have not been much and find a new life form of some kind.

Thank you jblev2 for sharing this video. It is one hell of a discovery. I am disappointed that they didn't pull ET from a hat and have it do a little dance for us... that would have been entertaining :p cant wait for them to find life else where... should be to long now... hopefully :)
