TUPOLEV TU-128P "FIDDLER"_______________
Artist-song: Foggy - Come Into My Dream_____________
The Tupolev Tu-28/Tu-128 (NATO reporting name 'Fiddler') was a long-range interceptor aircraft developed by the Soviet Union in the 1960s. It remains the world's largest production fighter aircraft.

In my Videos i Put music only in videos,

    containing

    already contaminated sections

with some Creepy music or narator voices in incomprehensible languages.

    Where i have a video

with pure engine sound... then I took care to remain so :)

  • You give light to those aircraft that deserve it, thnx for the great service. :)

  • Another great video by odzadze. I'm enjoying these rare videos. :)

Yeah, it would spoil your extraordinary videos by underlying them with fake engine noise!

  • The Tu-128P's R-4R missiles were the benchmark for Hughes to beat in a smaller airframe, initially in the XAIM-10 and eventually in the AIM-54, which the U. S. Navy flew operationally from the Grumman F-14 and the U. S. Air Force could potentially adapt for an FB-1 Delta raid-interceptor version of the B-1 Bravo bomber (twelve AIM-54's in the forward stores bay). Even with a GAU-10 in the nose, I wouldn't want an FB-1D against a gaggle of Su-37's, though.

  • Anyway it's good video, thank you, mate!

  • But it's interceptor, not fighter. As a fighter it has low chances to complete the task.

  • The TU-128 was the biggest interceptor fighter was have made.

i agree with you about the missile agility, and its true that larger-longer range missile has lower maneuverability, but i think large fin is better in sustained turn than instantaneous turn (i read in wikipedia in article bout "wing loading"), there is another way to reduce drag but still maintain the missile agility by using Grid (lattice) fin like Russian R-77 that also can be folded to save space. i also had read that the R-77 is the best missile in term of maneuverability

  • @ekanzoy i was thinking the same thing, but larger fins had larger drag when the missile was turning in high G and it would have significant speed reduction when sustained turn rates, wile it would be probably better in instantainius turn rates. that probably give us the conclusion that was mostly was vs not very agile targets, and the majority of those missiles was large missiles with large warheads. only last gen russian missiles have smal fins so they must be better vs fihters in agility

  • @petros311

maybe the reason why medium-long range missiles has large fins is because of aerodynamic efficiency. Larger fins also means larger aerodynamic surface area, thus have lower wing loading (the ratio of weight per surface area), lower wing loading increase the lift force given by the fins, so less thrust is required to maintain lift for level flight and higher thrust is available to use for forward motion so it will increase the missile range. sorry my english is not good ..
