@SubzeroedMind Iran is no threat to the US. It is a foreign policy pain in the neck. The threat to close the straits of hormuz has global implications. As far as the US telling other nations what to do, I would need a clarification as to what you meant. Yes the US has it's own problems but how does it shit on it's own people? I can't disagree with the politician comment as it seems to fit the universal definition.

@SubzeroedMind That any military action against Iran will be the start of WW III as Russia and China will rush to their defense. The goal is to bring about the downfall of Iran without firing a shot. Their currency is finished, their economy is in tatters, and now their oil sales will take at least a 30% hit. If they lash out militarily, then and only then will the US strike. I doubt Russia will move to defend Iran in this case as Syria is their primary strategic concern.
