Given that i am running a deck which is slower to set up, what are some good stratergies to counter stage 1 rush decks? (Aside from trainer lock to stop catcher)

@pearlsea Trust me, when I went to my 1st pokemon event (Emerginig Powers Pre-Release) it was kinda awkward. But here in California there are alot of older men and women who go to the events. I recemmend you to try and make a fun/crazy deck, OR better yet, go to the Noble Victories Pre-Release in November. Go to the pre-release, meet some cool people, and go to leagues with them. :)

I'm an adult (21) and want to build a deck to play at league. Should I be concerned if not too many older people are playing in my area? I'm shy as it is, feeling out of place makes me feel even more uncomfortable.
