The first in the natural series from The Great Primate Handshake. Here we see Steve Lloyd show us how to create an electric current using two potatoes - enough electricity to power a digital clock - amazing!
@305Juggalo A potato battery is an electrochemical battery, otherwise known as an electrochemical cell. An electrochemical cell is a cell in which chemical energy is converted to electric energy by a spontaneous electron transfer.
How does this work?
What type of energy does it have?

I should get 4 potatos and use it to power my camera. Do these last longer than double A alkaline batteries?

@Flypig777 That would be awesome if we could power everything from potatoes. We will have to do some tests.
