  • its very simple people, on a healthy transmission the difference in time required for the syncro to brake the current gear with a very fast shift and a slower shift may not be a issue, but if your running a transmission with a decent amount of miles on it the syncro can use the extra time a longer shifter gives it to help from grinding, every time you grind a gear you make it worse, a short shifter will never make your pass down the 1/4 mile any faster so why beat the transmission?

  • haha Mrs. PROJustinSane and yes, I do mean "misses PROJustinSane".

You are A dumb ass. No Real real racer would even consider your novice comment about short shifters You must be a real pussy and I mean a real pussy to actually admit that a taller slower shifter is more advanced than short shifters and you must not have any skill in driving manual vehicles. Short shifters will never mess with your syncros and what do they encourage. I'm sorry to my fellow men but your a real womem

  • @TheGuardado12

your such a internet bad ass arent you? you only made your self look retarded, i will give you a lesson in how a honda transmission meshes gears, a the cone area under the synchro is actually the brakes that slow down the current gears speed so that it matches the next gears speed so you get a clean mesh and no grind, keeping up so far?? ok so if you do not allow enough time for that brake to slow down the current gears rotation you will grind, a long shifter helps add time.

  • if obx makes the diff for your tranny then you can install it regardless if it was a LSD or open diff.

i think it was a high 11 second pass, and no you dont want short shifters, they just encourage more missed shifts, a tall shifter is ideal to allow enough time for the syncros to slow down the mass and allow good engagement , short shifters are for ricers and people who like to bust trannys

  • @PROJustinSane I know I'm late. But I just want to back up your opinion. You are correct. I can shift just as fast with my stock shifter than with a short shifter. They're a waste of money and only hurt your trans!
