@benhendrick1 Hello. I'm not this guy but that pumping sound is achieved by using a compressor in a sidechain. Look it up on youtube. It's a very "now" sound.
-
How did you achieve that pumping cymbal sound at 2:15?
-
very nice.

I think you look like Spence Olchin from King of Queens :b

hi simon, loving all your videos. I had a question. With all your experience to date, lets say you were going out and buying a studio. What combo would you go for.

@bradrotube Thanks a lot for the comment. That is an incredibly open ended studio! Depends if I had won the lottery or was on a budget. You need a decent computer, a couple of decent synths and a drum machine I reckon to get you up and running. But you can spend as much or as little as you want on this hobby and you should get satisfaction out of it regardless.. :]

Hey siedgey, I was wondering where/how you learned to use all of your equipment. I was interested in buying a drum machine/synth but was afraid I wouldnt be able to figure it out, so figured id ask the best.

@aguywhoplaysbass Haha first of all thanks for the compliment. Every synth and drum machine comes with a complete manual to learn it - even people who have used synths for years still read manuals to learn their bit of kit so you'll be fine! But mostly, just play around and find out what way you like to work. Now go ahead and BUY ONE! :]
