Piper Mirage VH-ZMM Alice Springs to Archerfield

Start up and taxi at Tindal then 1062 nm leg from Alice Springs to Archerfield. Great view at FL250 crossing a fast moving front line that had strong winds and dust storms on the ground below. GS 290 knts +. Flight Time 4 hrs. Used the speed brakes on decent as ATC wanted us down quickly to avoid outbound traffic so we decended at 1200 fpm at times.

Hi - here is my "personal" opinion - Twins unless you plan on regular flying and doing asymmetric training and want the expense of maintaining 2 engines then I would give this a miss, has an added safety adv with 2 donks. But not pressurised/no radar (I believe). Bananza great plane strong well built great on dirt (Mirage is a no for dirt) still not pres and not sure on radar. Mirage has 1300nm range, radar, aircon, biggest cabin, nose locker, and most of all pressurized to 25000 feet.
