Rumer - Some Lovers

'Some Lovers' was written by the legendary Burt Bacharach and is released on December 13th as part of Rumer's new EP, 'Rumer Sings Bacharach at Christmas', which also features Rumer's version of Bacharach's classic, 'Alfie'. It will be released on a limited edition 7" vinyl, designed by Rumer herself, and will also be available to download and buy on CD from December 13th.

Burt Bacharach is in top form with this song! This is like one of his songs from the 60s with Hal David. Rumer really does it justice.

Rumer has a beautiful voice but I don't think it's fair to compare her to one of the greatest vocalists that has ever lived in Karen Carpenter. To use a similar phrase from a Carpenters classic  "she's only just begun" Why would anyone want another Karen Carpenter anyway when you can listen to the real thing. Rumer sounds great but will never be Karen. And I bet she wouldn't compare herself either.
