INTRODUCTION TO THE STEPS IN A MISSOURI CONSUMER BANKRUPTCY

This first video gives a brief introduction to the usual steps in a consumer bankruptcy - chapters 7 and 13. You are familiarized with the locations for 341 Meetings held in either Springfield or Carthage and learn which counties are serviced by each of these meeting locations. The video concludes with a brief summary of the major steps in a bankruptcy and explains that a consumer debtor will rarely ever need appear in any court proceeding. For most consumer debtors, the 341 Meeting is the only time the debtor is required to make an appearance - and that is for a meeting which is not in a courtroom.
