  • Baby come back?!?! Does Hornsby even KNOW Ambrosia? Baby Come Back was from Player.

  • Yeah, it's sort of an in-joke. This video was to be played at an event that was being planned called "Ambrosiafest" It has yet to be finalized, so I thought I would just release it. A lot of peer to peer download sites incorrectly list Ambrosia as the writers of "Baby Come Back". I told this to Bruce and we concocted the joke, which he does convincingly! The concert that he did that night is probably one of the top 3 favorite concerts I have ever seen in my 35 years of concert-going.

  • Yes, with the emphasis he used, you'd figure it was a joke even if you didn't know better. It's true that when you look up songs online, you will commonly see the wrong artists on certain songs, and it happens a lot with 70's artists. I can see that confusion being possible with say "Baby Come Back" & "How Much I Feel" if you don't know the artists' sound very well. I liked Player as they were good musicians, but Ambrosia had way more talent in my opinion. Frozh it, Joe!

  • He is a very tall guy!!!!!

  • @BAMAMARV - I totally hear ya Bam. There was the whole mix-up circle of groups at that time; *Player*, *Ambrosia*, *little river band*, *Orleans*, etc... Hence the joke (and notice bruce put so much emphasis on it) :)

(i must admit i was one of those commoners getting confused within 2 of those bands- but that was when i was a kid.

Love Bruce and his sense of humour.

Love Ambrosia, but not the salad.

    :)

    thanks for posting this sam.

  • I'll second that!!

  • all i have to say is i dont care that Bruce is in his Mid 50's and that im only 26 but that is ONE SEXY MAN!

  • Joe Frozia and the Frozites... lol... I'm gonna have to call him that one to see his response. I have not heard this nick name for him before...

  • one of the best artists of all time by far.

  • I'm not amazed at the kids who don't realze that Bruce is making a joke about "Baby Come Back" being an Ambrosia song. You had to have been there in the 70's to appreciate that.

  • Bruce is totally cool. One of the best musicians in the business. Plays a mean accordian, too.
