@steve51704000 Sobriety? Is that what you call being someone else? Playing nothing but licks that were done by Ace before Thayer was 20 years old on Sonic Boom. Thats sobriety? I guess your going to kick Eddie Van Halen, Tyler, Lemmy, etc. to the curb? STP and Velvet Revolver, now there was a problem. Ace, Gene would have loved for it to be at that level. I will take drugs and alcohol over greed and ego any day.

@steelerkiss - Gene and Paul don't need to babysit drunk/addict band members, and that's the real reason they moved into the Eric / Tommy era of KISS. It's called sobriety.

@nockuout1 Dude, not sure why you feel the need to insult in order to make your point, but you seem awfully angry. Second, I just happened to come across this and am certainly not Ace or Kiss obsessed, or defending Ace and lastly, I'm actually totally right, since the story Ace is telling is from the point of view of when he saw them and they were still referred to as THE CREAM by people. He didn't say he saw them recently.

@nockuout1 Yeah, you can easily check it out. Just like when Floyd started out; they were called THE Pink Floyd, so in this instance, Ace's memory is actually spot on.

I met Ace once, and he was very very friendly, I asked him if he could sign some memorabilia and he said sure, no problem, the stuff he signed for me were magazines, albums, t-shirts, KISS tourbooks. So my girlfriend and i took pictures with Ace and, You wouldn't believe this but Peter Criss came in to, so Peter gladly signed some stuff too. Very nice people indeed.

You never hear from Gene's mouth what Ace has been doing recently or today with sobriety. He needs to have Ace with problems to justify what KISS is doing now. It also kills me how much crap Ace gets from him while Gene will brag about being friends and associating himself past and present with Eddie VanHalen. He has the same problem, if not more than Ace did.
