I have no idea what style this was danced too. Modern is my best guess.

I woke up early this morning because I needed to finish my essay for my application to Cornish. I have slim chances of getting in because of my complete lack of training, but I believe that it'll be a good experience overall anyway. I mean, what's to lose besides my dignity, right? Gonna buy myself a pair of tights and ballet shoes this afternoon...

I first heard this song when I went with my friend Erik to a dance competition in Seattle. I freaked when I heard it and Erik slaved away to find it. A week or so ago, he found the title: Electric Sheep by Mad Rad. I've listened to it a couple of times and decided that I was going to do another one of those "First-time Freestyles", a little thing I like to do. In a first-time freestyle, I listen to a song no more than five times and try to memorize where the beats are and to get familiar with the timing. Then, I pop on the computer, press the record button, and freestyle as hard as I can. Most of the time, the freestyles never get uploaded because I'm not satisfied. Usually, they're then recorded again and judged as to whether or not they're upload-worthy. Usually they're not. I'm probably only uploading this one because I'm tired. :] Heh.

For those wondering where I started taking classes, I am taking classes at Bellevue College. I first enrolled in to Contemporary I but the instructor persuaded me to also enroll in to Jazz II and the Eastside Performing Company. The quarter just ended but I will be taking Jazz II again and will be officially entering the performing company this spring quarter. If you're ever in the area, check us out, say hello.

Thank you for taking the time to read this whole deal, and I hope you enjoyed the video. I really appreciate all the support, especially from a couple of special individuals. I also always appreciate the constructive criticism! [jtot]
