  • So maybe i was wrong to assume that the flood was caused because there was a unique ammount of sin there.

  • The water running from the surrounding fells falls into the lakes, the lakes run into the two rivers, and the two rivers run through our little market town of Cockermouth. The rivers join (a confluence) right in the centre of town and this is now just the Derwent. It then runs into the Solway Firth and the Irish Sea. At high tide the Solway itself fill up, and all this extra water from the the relentless rainfall caused the rivers to overflow. You religous fanatics are the ones who need help!
