Very good points there and I admire your honesty. I'm a white guy currently dating a black woman. I am with her because I think she is beautiful and I really enjoy her company, we share interests and have similar goals in life. She could be black, caucasian, asian or anything in between and it wouldn't change my view of her. I believe these "8 reasons" videos are attempts at justifying an insecurity in the one recording the video rather than reporting facts.

Not all truths are facts. Truths are beliefs and conjectures that are accepted dearly and internalized. Facts can be proven and tested to the core. Facts are not generalizations. If all of the X's in a sample of a population has Y, it doesn't mean that every other member within the entire population has Y. Inductive generalizations are so Ptolemaic.
