  • It is a huge loss ... We will surely miss Sydney Pollack, and realize that very few people are rising up to his professional caliber.

I am shocked to hear about his departure from among us.

  • Out of Africa but not out of mind.

Thank you Sydney for the films, my condolences to his family.

  • Ironic that one of the last characters he played was a bit part as an oncologist on the Sopranos, who tried to give hope to a cancer patient....

  • RIP -- I loved Sydney! I thought he was one of the sexiest men. I love him in the movie Husbands and Wives.

  • Jeremiah Johnson: A powerful visual poetry of myth and reality of our American West. It got into my bloodstream and made me accomplish some things I may not have - had I never expienced it.

  • Best line from Tootsie:

    "You slut!"

    (See the movie.)

  • I love "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?"...

  • a real pity , one of the best

  • big deal no matter what u r, who u r and rich , u will be grounded one day

  • "A tomato doesn't have logic!" sheer comedy.

  • A great man, a great loss. I have heard that he was one of the funniest and kindest men to work with. My sympathy to his family and friends.

  • RIP..........blessings to an amazing man.
