Owning paper gold is like owning paper gun. They can neither protect you financially and physically.

Has silver retained its purchasing power compared to oil/energy over the same time frame as gold has?

CNBC,
can you stop forcing pregnant women down our throats? Have you ever considered the rights of the unborn? How healthy can it be for some woman with a stomach as big as a basketball to be lugging themselves around with all the stress that work entails.
Plus the fact that it is F'g ugly , nothing feminine about it at all.
Women's rights. yeah right what about the poor unborn, what about their rights.
Put them maternity leave !

In ancient rome a senators top quality toga, belt and sandals would cost about an ounce of gold, that's 1056USdollars & with that amount you can by a good suit, belt & a good pair of shoes suitable for a statesman anywhere in the world today. Gold seems to have virtually no devaluation. Invest in gold or silver but you should consider buying seeds as well, yes plant seeds. There's a coming scarcity for you! Natural non modified plant seeds.. Peace

Do you know, A short is when a item may cost now $10 , and you agree to sell 100 to me next week at $9, because you believe they will actually drop to $8 and You would stand to gain $100. Naked implies that you don't all ready own them but must buy them in order to sell them to me. I was referring to gold shorts My comment implied that I hoped J P Morgan would louse a lot of money Now figure this one out, One day good got board and created bad to play with. Thanks

All this nonsense spun by pundits (who have vested interests in keeping the system afloat) on 'if you do such and such you'll be safe' is smoke and mirrors. The metals market is every bit as fake as the banking system. There is no 'safe way' as long as the Golden Calf worshipping crooks are still at large. You want to be safe? There's no such thing. Take to the streets and oust the thieves. Avoid their corrupt markets and tear their house down.

I need to correct you. This is a misconception about holding gold. I recently cashed out some of my gold in EUROs. You can cash out your precious metals in other currencies if you know how to hold it. Not only did I make money on the increase in the price of gold, I kept the value of my currency by cashing out in EUROs. I will be buying more gold / silver and cashing out in currencies other than the failing U.S. dollar. Go down with the ship if you want, but I have mouths to feed.
