The former opinion editor of The Washington Times has filed a religious discrimination complaint against the paper.

Richard Miniter says the company president "coerced" him into attending a Unification Church event in 2008 that included a mass wedding. He says the company launched a background investigation into him earlier this year after he made a joke about the church to a co-worker.

The Times was founded by the leader of the Unification Church, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, in 1982.

  • lol, 172 are thumbs up an only 2 thumbs down

  • WOW!! I didn't know that Sun Myung Moon had a plan to overthrow US government! That's quite shocking you know! You guys should throw Moon into jail for high treason!! It turns out that he was also planning to overthrow my country's government too! Luckily, a regime change took place on August 30th here in Japan, and the new ruling party is opposed to Sun Myng Moon and Son Tae Chuk!!

  • If that guy's voice was rougher, he'd sound just like John Goodman.

  • Chinese... rev.?

That is a first timer for me!

  • now suscribe and lets make that informed difference .

There is indeed a War coming and we need to win for the good of all mankind.

  • And the award for the greatest Youtube name goes to...

  • I might even say atheists are more moral than most xtians, for the sole reason that atheists don't believe in sin. They do not behave morally only because they fear retribution from god.

If you are only moral because you fear god, you are hardly a moral person at all. A good person will do good acts because that is what they believe is the right thing, regardless of censequence. Human solidarity is among the most charished principles of many atheists, despite not believing in an afterlife.

  • I think you are ignorant and caught up in an unrealistic world-view that teaches hate and discrimination.

Atheists are among the most moral people in the world. The many secular charities brought about by atheist individuals do more good, without prosthelytizing, than most xtian charities would ever be able to do. This is because secular charities have no hidden agenda of trying to indoctrinate people, or scare the people they help into xtianity with deceit like "condoms carry AIDS."

  • I think we can all agree that you know nothing and are a total dumbass. Praise the FSM!
