  • I was diagnosed with colitis 31/2 years ago. I had quit smoking just 6 months prior to that. I had no remission for 3 years, then I started smoking 6 months ago and all symptoms have completely gone. Smoking definitely cures colitis and I would never quit smoking and go back to living with Colitis ever again.

  • This is unreal!

I am a 44 yr old male who quit a 1 1/2 pack cigarette habit a year ago, and developed UC within a week, that has persisted for a year now!

I just discovered the relationship between the two today. So pissed my doctors never mentioned it even though i told them i had just quit.

Now i have to decide if i should start up again to cure my problem. Yikes.
