Relax, it's an early tech demo.

Of course it's not impressive. They're probably not paying professional artists to make the textures. But it could look much more impressive. It's not a defect of the engine. Also, this video is of an alpha release, a proof-of-concept. If you've never seen another alpha, they pretty much all look like crap compared to the finished product, particularly in the art department.

its cool but the gameplay would become extremely frustrating really fast not tryin 2 jew yah here but maybe if you added the option 2 choose between point and click movement and 3rd person keyboard style movement that might be a good idea (once more just throwin out constructive criticism its just my personal opinion on the subject)

where to find the Tech Demo ?

sad that this has seemed to die :(

Really good game by the looks of it!
Please don't quit development, spread the word about this game.

The dude I mean ~not the taxi cabs. lol

You realize that this is a DOOM 3 mod using stock entities?
-
So true; I agree completely!

Yeah, run into that alot lately. Starwars, indiana jones, fallout 3....
At least f3 had an excuse, different creators and all. :D
why did everyone vote down badbadguy's comment...? It looked like the only reasonable one here. Are you like all on the dev team for this mod or something?

Thanks for your comments adayoldbagel, I think you've made your point :) We love real-time FPS's as well, but there are plenty of people who enjoy turn-based for the very reason that it depends on the character more than the player. It's a conscious decision, and ultimately one of personal taste (which yours is far more catered to)!

ok one big question: this was added to youtube on 11.12.2006 - is the project still continuing?
Accessing the web page forum to check progress resulted in a 404 error.
And imo the game ALREADY looks to good to give up on.

Hey there,
We are definitely not giving up! We moved to w new webhost and domain name, check the video comments for an update. The site has lagged quite far behind unfortunately, but you can see more recent updates by looking us up on Moddb. Thanks for the comment!

The visual quality of the destruction is a fault at this point, but it is purely an art issue and not a technical one. With a dedicated modeller re-working our architecture (which we recently acquired) the destruction will look much better.
We also continue to iron out performance issues on a regular basis.
Thanks for the comments!

Actually, most of this was recorded on a machine with 1GB RAM (Athlon 64 3200+, Geforce 6800GT).
