The New Richmond (Ohio) Exempted Village School District has completed the word toward alignment of its K-12 Engish/Language Arts course of study with the Common Core State Standards in English/language arts which will be fully in use in Ohio classrooms by 2014-2015, when assessments that align to the standards are in place. John Frye, Director of Pupil and Staff Services for the NREVSD, explains the district's plan which was developed over two years by the administration and the district's grade level teachers.
